A Time Warper left this Message at 5:06 P.M. on 5/8/08 Wow! I just got back last night from the 16th-century Ottoman Empire. Talk about vast! It was so big that they couldn't install wall-to-wall carpet, since it cost so much. (But I could be imagining things. I think the time warp made me woozy.) I did, however, really enjoy hearing Suleyman's poetry, although his rhyming of "Turkey" with "herky-jerky" was questionable. Of course I more than made up for that with my joke about the Ottoman Umpire. (I think they're right when they say that humor doesn't translate.) But I DO recommend taking a steam bath in the Haseki Hurrem Baths. Very relaxing! Unfortunately, I sweated so much, when I came out I was only two feet tall, so that was a bit of a bummer. Catch you on the flip side!
